WHAT TO BRING ALONG WITH YOU

Due to the marked thermal fluctuation, it is necessary to bring summer clothing to wear during the day (cotton T-shirts, but also long-sleeved T-Shirt to protect your skin from the sun), as well as winter clothing to wear at nigh (polar flees, feather parka or coat, sweaters & jackets).
Walking shoes are recommended for the ride. It would also be useful to bring sandals, to wear after the riding day and to wear when there is possibility to take a bath in the lagoon for example.
Don’t forget to bring also sun glasses, sun hat, sun cream and of course bathing suit. Water recipient, flashlight (torch) and the most important a good and warm sleeping bag.
It’s important also to bring along with you, your personal equipment like basic medicine (for headache, diarrhea, stomach ache, some wound-dressing…) and of course your own medicine if you have a special treatment. In case of special diseases or some particular allergies please let us know!

HOW TO REACH SAN PEDRO

There is different ways to get to San Pedro de Atacama: The airlines that fly to Calama (the nearest airport, about 100 km), are Latam, Jetsmart and Sky Airline. Flights from Europe arrive here via Santiago de Chile.
For long rides transfer from the airport of Calama to San Pedro included in the price. If not, there are many shuttles from the airport, which will take you directly to San Pedro.
If you come by bus, Tur Bus offers a direct route to San Pedro de Atacama, from Santiago de Chile. From Calama you can take a bus from Frontera o Geminis. From Agentina, Geminis, Andesmar and Pullman Bus are the companies that go directly to San Pedro de Atacama. The trip takes around 9 hours. There are no commercial direct transportation services from Bolivia to San Pedro. Tourist companies and agencies are the only ones to offer this service. If you travel by car, you must keep in mind that the distance between one gas station and another one is considerable.

In San Pedro you will have many opportunities to exchange Dollars and Euros. You will also find ATM machines, where you will be able to obtain directly Chilean Pesos.
